After the initial shakedown at Fiorano, Minardi went to the Paul Ricard for the first 'real' test of the Minardi M191-Ferrari V12 from January 15 to 21, 1991 with drivers Pierluigi Martini and Gianni Morbidelli. At the end of the test, Martini was fourth fastest while Morbidelli was ninth.
