The Slik knotless anchor allows the surgeon to repair soft tissue back to bone with auto and independent suture tensioning. The driver and inserter handle are designed to work independently which allows the inserter handle to place the suture at the bottom of the socket and tension the suture independently of the anchor. Once the tension on the suture is set, the anchor is deployed by pressing the activation button and the driver handle is now advanced over the inserter. The suture is instantaneously captured against the walls of the socket maintaining the suture tension. This is the basis of the double row slik repair. Compared to other double row techniques which utilize 2 part anchors, the Slik is a single body anchor device. If the surgeon is not satisfied with the tension, the Slick anchor can be backed out, tension adjusted, sutures can be removed or added to the contstruct and then the same anchor can be replaced into the same socket. This dramatically reduces the risk of dog ears and improperly tensioned double row repairs. Multiple suture strands can be accommodated including tape and suture to allow the surgeon to complete all types of repairs.
