If it looks like a motorcycle, rides and handles like a motorcycle, then it's a motorcycle, correct? Well, not necessarily. Over the past years the modern personal mobility market has acquainted us with a good deal of unconventional transportation inventions - smart scooters, electric skateboards, monowheels, hoverboards - and surprisingly some of them managed to become popular among consumers.
We are closely following the changes in the world of electric commuting vehicles and are regularly making videos about latest innovations and add them here: [ Ссылка ]
If you are following the news as much as we do, then you should have noticed a newly emerging class of electric commuting vehicles and is getting a lot of traction lately. The representatives of this class could be briefly described as a mix between classic mopeds and lightweight motorcycles of the 125cc class and an average electric bicycle.
These motorbike-inspired bicycles are usually equipped with 750 watt electric motors, have a pedal assist system with cadence sensors and a thumb throttle, in case you don't feel like pedaling at all; but in terms of looks they are very similar to a lightweight motorbike: they have knobby tires suitable for mud-terrain riding, a full suspension system with decent suspension forks in the front and long bench seats for comfortable commuting with a passenger.
In today's video we would like to discuss the news about the newest ebike model by an American manufacturer called Volcon ePowersports. For the 2023 model year they are bringing to the market their 'Brat' bike and we would like to see how it compares to other models in the market in terms of technical equipment, motor power, estimated riding range and, of course, the pricing.
