This fix is solid. Only downside is that box is shifted back thickness of cover (1\8" ?) and it BARELY clears the turntable. If you put it on the outside of cover, it will hit the tonearm on the backside.

Part takes 3 minutes to knock out. Cleaning it up and installing it will take another 10 minutes. The plastic/acrylic box was actually from Walgreens, there was price tag for $2.49. Vintage stereo repair on a budget.
