Hiking trip to Glacier National Park in August 2019. We had near perfect weather with no rain the entire trip and temperatures in the 80s during the day and 50s/60s at night.
Trails we hiked:
- John's Lake Trail (2 miles)
- Avalanche Lake Trail (5 miles)
- Hidden Lake Trail (3 miles)
- Highline Trail (8.5 miles... did as out and back from Logan Pass)
- Scenic Point (9 miles)
- Pitamakan / Dawson Loop (2 nights backpacking, 17 miles)
- Fishercap / Redrock Lake (3 miles)
- Iceberg Lake (10 miles)
- Grinnell Glacier (11.5 miles)
Whitewater kayaking was through Great Northern in West Glacier - we did 8 miles in a tandem ducky on the Middle Fork Flathead River. Water was COLD and we were soaked to the bone, but the rapids were fun and it was an overall awesome time!
