Russian documents for producing the Sukhoi Su-75 Checkmate single-engine light fighter aircraft have been revealed by the United Aircraft Corporation.
This step seems to want to slap the slanted assessment of the United States during the George W Bush administration which underestimated the Su-75.
United Aircraft Corporation, which is the Russian agency that handles the design and production of the aircraft, said project documents had been sent to the factory to immediately produce the Su-75 Checkmate.
UAC said that the Su-75 Checkmate prototype will appear around 2024 or 2025, followed by a pilot batch in 2026.
According to UAC, mass production responds to market demand.
Previously, Russia had exhibited this aircraft at the MAKS-2021 air show.
The Su-75 Checkmat boasts impressive specifications, with a speed of 2 MACH.
This aircraft is capable of flying 3000 kilometers with a combat load of 7.4 tons.
The Su-75 is also equipped with an Active Electronically Scanned Array radar, a 360-degree optical and radio reconnaissance system.
In addition, the SU-75 also has an internal electronic jamming system, an optical vision system, and a long-range communications system.
Russia is confident that this aircraft will sell well because it is an opportunity for countries that want a sophisticated but affordable fighter aircraft.
