Playing with the M2 MacBook Air in Augmented Reality was a lot of fun. It was also fairly popular, as the video about Apple's AR version of the M2 MacBook Air was quite popular. That short video became the fifth most popular Photics.TV overall. It's also the most popular Photics.TV short.
So, I was in bed, half asleep, thinking about what video should be made next. I remembered the fun I had with AR. That's when I wondered if I could add that web technology to my own website. This seemed like a great idea for a video.
Energized with a great idea, the search started on how to use AR online. Right away, I ended up at the official website for WebKit. There was a blog post that explained how to do it.
Shockingly, it was quite easy. The harder part was creating a 3D model in the USDZ format. This video covers the process of creating a Voxel character in Goxel, then converting that 3D file to USDZ.
