Smooth wire feeding is required wherever impressive operating speeds are achieved in laser welding. TRUMPF GmbH + Co. KG found this in the unique MFS-V3.1 wire feeder system from ABICOR BINZEL. In the TruLaser Weld 5000 laser cell from TRUMPF, in addition to heat conduction and deep penetration welding, the so-called "tolerant" laser welding – the FusionLine – is integrated as a third welding process in its turnkey system, which represents a special combination of laser beam guidance, optics and wire feed. Especially in medium-sized companies, where cutting, punching, bending and welding of sheet metal is part of the process chain, with this solution, which compensates tolerances and even safely bridges gaps of up to 1 mm, more components can be processed and capacity utilization increased, while part costs drop immensely – guaranteed reliable wire feeding and easy handling.
