This acoustic recording dates from late 1916 or early 1917 tbc. I've been unable to find out exactly when it was recorded. The Mayfair Orchestra was a studio orchestra put to together by The Gramophone Company for the sole purpose of recording. The name "His master's Voice" is the name of the painting by Francis Barraud of the small dog "nipper" looking down the gramophone horn horn. But that's another story.
This is a very old recording and the source disc is far from perfect. I have done my best to apply some light equalisation and de-clicking. I have left the shellac noise in place, as removing it adversely affected the remaining sound. If anybody wants to improve it then please go ahead.
