In this video, sculptors Dave and Iain show us how they made Polly, a 15-metre long polystyrene model of the Norwegian Blue from the infamous Dead Parrot sketch, which was commissioned by TV channel Gold following a survey of 2,000 comedy fans which named the surreal pet shop skit as the nation’s favourite Monty Python sketch of all time. Polly was housed at The O2 for the final run of the Monty Python Live (mostly) shows.
