When?
Sunday 23rd April 2023.
What time?
Early evening.
What like? How long test for?
Very loud siren and powerful vibration for 10 seconds.
Why?
Test to send emergency messages in future. For example: flooding, fire, weather, terrorism, etc..
Can switch off?
Yes, on your mobile phone - can switch off “severe alerts” and “extreme alerts”. Means you won’t get them.
Been test / trial this in East Suffolk and Reading in 2021. Now test / trial all over UK on Sunday 23rd April 2023.
Government will steal your phone information?
No. Not possible.
