This video is a slide show of my photography of Wrangell – St. Elias National Park in Alaska.
In this, the last of three videos, I show seasonal changes in Wrangell – St. Elias Park through wildflowers and wildlife. Between May and September, seasons are changing fast in the North. I had experienced three seasons; spring, summer, and fall within a little over 4 months! Under 20+ hours of sunlight, the plants grow fast, wildflowers come and go, and wildlife changes from their winter coats to summer coats. At the end of summer season, the tundra turns vivid autumn colors as a grand finale before another long winter arrives.
Wrangell – St. Elias National Park is the largest National Park in North America, (Six times as large as Yellowstone Park!) with active volcanoes, high peaks, glaciers, a massive icefield, and the historic Kennecott Mines. Yet, less tourists visit Wrangell – St. Elias Park compared with the popular Denali National Park due to its remote location and limited road access.
I was lucky enough to spend one summer in Wrangell – St. Elias National Park, experiencing seasonal changes (3 seasons in 4 months), exploring the true Alaskan wilderness, and capturing spectacular landscapes.
