The USN aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71) conducted a Replenishment At Sea (RAS) with the dry cargo and ammunition ship USNS Matthew Perry (T-AKE 9) in the Persian Gulf on December 7, 2017. Part of the RAS was a vertical replenishment (VERTREP), where an MH-60S Sea Hawk helicopter transported cargo to the carrier.
