Meet Neil McRobert, a passionate racing sailor and ex motorbike rider Brit. He's talking about his experience of living in Greece as a foreigner, after 34 years since he decided he'd be spending the rest of his life in Greece.

It seems that living in Greece as an expat is not a new trend. But people from all over the world have been moving to Greece mainland or The Greek Islands while buying a second home or even retiring in Greece, for many years now.

We believe the experience of these expats who were courageous enough to move to Greece 10, 20, 30 years ago, is truly valuable, encouraging and inspiring for the ones who are now thinking about relocating to Greece.

Thus, we created this series of interviews with expats living in Greece, asking them if they would be willing to share their experiences and how they adapted to the Greek lifestyle. These people are open-minded by default, so they happily agreed to share their personal experiences.

Moving to Greece, you'll quickly get to learn about the Greek saying "siga siga", which means "Slowly Slowly" or "avrio" that means "tomorrow" and is a generic term for "not today", which could mean anytime in the future :)

If there's one thing that expats living in Greece have in common is their negative answer to the question: "Would you move back to your home country?". Because life in Greece as a foreigner fitted like a glove to most of them. And going back is not an option.

We are a couple in our 40's deeply in love with Greece. We relocated to Greece about 3 years ago, choosing our most beloved holiday destination - Lefkada Island of the Ionian Islands in Western Greece. Sharing what we discover each day in this new playground called Greece and talking to people who moved to Greece way before us is what makes us happy.
