Ukrainian troops posted a video over the weekend indicating they have retaken the city of Lyman after 4 months under Russian control — in what the Guardian describes as a ‘humiliating moment’ for Vladimir Putin and his forces.

Lyman is a key strategic location in the southeastern Donetsk region. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy praised his forces upon news of its recapture and pledged to push further into the surrounding territory toward cities like Svatove and Kreminna as well.
