Album: Bookends (1968)
A simple, sweet, nostalgic verse by this classic folk duo. "Bookends" endearingly describes the passage of time between loved ones and the memories we hold dear. Those memories that hold the key to who we are; vivid, bittersweet movies of what once was. Hold these moments close- And remember there are still memories being written.
This one hits home so I've included some personal photographs: scenery from my childhood home (including my childhood trampoline) and photographs of my grandmother who raised me as her own. Our memories are the bedrock of my soul. Rest in Peace, Guardian Angel.
Please feel free to share your precious memories in the comments.
May this tune bring you peace & closure.
