Imagine you're starting to build a sandcastle at the beach, but every few minutes, you see another shiny seashell or cool rock and run to pick it up. What happens to your sandcastle? It never gets built!
In the same way, shiny object syndrome can be a big problem when starting a new business. If you jump from one idea to another, you can't give your full attention to any of them. Just like the sandcastle, your business never gets built.
Instead of looking for shiny new ideas, we should put on our "blinders" and focus on what we started. It's like running a race. If you keep looking around, you'll lose your path and never reach the finish line.
Each business idea is like a seed. It needs time, care, and most importantly, consistent attention to grow. If you plant a seed and then ignore it to plant another one, none of them will grow.
So, focus on one seed, nurture it, and watch it become a strong tree. Remember, a tree doesn't grow in a day, and neither does a business.
The key to success is sticking to one idea, nurturing it, and giving it time to grow. Just like the racehorses with their blinders on, focus on the finish line and you'll win the race!
But remember, even racehorses need a good coach to guide them.
Speaking of guidance, this Sunday, I'm sharing some of my own experiences and strategies to help you stay focused and avoid the shiny object syndrome. Join me for a free workshop where I'll show you how to make up to $10,000 a month on Amazon.
I promise, it's not about pitching you new shiny ideas, but about helping you put your blinders on and focus on the race ahead. Check out the link in my bio to register.
