Finally, Spring is here! The first buds and flowers have appeared on some of my early bird cacti and other succulent plants, including Mammillaria, Thelocactus, Rebutia, Astrophytum, Neoporteria, Disocactus, Rhipsalis, Aloe, Euphorbia and Senecio! I am showing you some of these first buds and blooms from my greenhouse cactus and succulent plant collection. I have also started watering - ever so slightly and carefully - many of my plants for the very first time this growing season. They have been standing very cool and dry since back in October of last year, sleeping through their dormancy period!
