The Darien Foundation for Technology & Community is the new name for the former Darien Technology Foundation. In 2007, the Board of Directors of the Darien Technology Foundation voted to expand their grant funding beyond technology projects to include community capital projects as well. The Foundation's reputation for thoroughly researching grant requests and carefully administering grant awards has earned the confidence of its donors. Funding for capital projects in addition to technology projects was the next logical step for this dynamic, community minded Foundation.
