Still pics and HD video of an 11.9 mile hike up the Rose River Fireroad in Shenandoah National Park. The road was built in 1853 and was originally called the Gordonsville - New Market Turnpike. In Nov. 1862 Stonewall Jackson moved his army from the Shenandoah Valley east across the Blue Ridge using this road on his way to Fredericksburg.
