- "We cannot pay you" she said "But the man is very ill" Roberta said these words to the doctor..Mother and the children were poor.. Theme tackled is Poverty: Poverty is a mixed blessing.
- The doctor said" I suppose I must go. But one day perhaps your mother will be able to pay me"..Doctor was helpful and kind..Theme tackled: Kindness can be shown in actions not only words.
- He spoke out against the government. He was sent to prison...Theme of Injustice
- His family went to London. He escaped from prison and came to London to look for his family.
