Welcome back to another edition of Southpaw Creative! Join me as I give you a number of reasons to love (and why I of course love) Dr. Ph. Martin's Radiant Concentrated Watercolor. They're a vibrant, dye based watercolor that's concentrated into a jar that's as cute as it is functional with an eye dropper. I'll be demoing these watercolors while talking with you about the product, and painting Sherlock Holmes (Benedict Cumberbatch) that I used in a Sherlock themed exhibit this past weekend. You'll also see some crosshatching I did later in the video.
You can purchase these wonderful watercolors in sets or open stock at Blick Art Materials (or their website). I also added in just a touch of Noodler's Ink in Red-Black at the very bottom of this piece. Micron 005 and 08 were used along with Le Pen 003 for crosshatching.
Colors used for this painting: Orange, Coffee Brown, Saddle Brown, Indian Yellow, Mahogany, Sepia, and Amber Yellow.
