DIY Migraine Rub — Makes a 4-Ounce Jar
By Mona Zavosh
Total Time: 10 minutes
Ingredients
¼ cup organic coconut oil
1 tbsp. organic beeswax pellets, packed
20 drops each of basil, peppermint, lavender, and ylang ylang essential oils
Directions
Place a glass bowl over a pot of simmering water, making sure the glass does not touch the water. Melt beeswax pellets in the bowl. Once beeswax is melted add the coconut oil and melt. Remove the bowl from the simmering pot and allow the mixture to cool slightly for 5 minutes. Add basil, peppermint, lavender, and ylang ylang essential oils and stir to combine well. Use a liquid medicine syringe or liquid measuring cup to pour mixture into the tubes. If rub starts to solidify as you are filling the tubes, place the bowl back on the pot with warm water and allow it to melt again. Once the rub has cooled completely, place the cap on. Rub on your temples as well as the back of your neck to alleviate migraine headaches.
