”This visit is truly an important milestone in our relationship. Your role in many areas has to be noted here. First of all, of course now with the ongoing war between Israel and Hamas, it's very important the role you play as a mediator in this conflict. And, I really want to stress here with sometimes people being critical that your role is crucial in advancing a ceasefire. I know that you personally, but also your whole team is working on this and with huge energy and I want to thank you for that. Also, you have helped us in the past. For example, when in 2021, we had a very difficult situation in Kabul. And you helped us, with the fall of Kabul, to get people out. And recently, it is thanks to you in large parts, that we were able to release a Dutch hostage from Gaza. Then, of course, other than regional tensions, there is the strong bilateral cooperation. As we both said in the tête-a-tête, this is only the beginning. And there is so much more we can do and I really hope from this visit that you can really develop that relationship. Trade, science, technology, security, foreign affairs and many other areas where we can cooperate on.”
