Bellam Kudumulu is a traditional Andhra sweet dish that are offered to Lord Ganesha as prasadam or naivedyam during Vinayaka Chavithi or Ganesh Chaturthi Festival. Rice Rava, jaggery, freshly grated coconut and cardamom are cooked together to a mixture that is kneaded before being shaped into round balls (Laddu) and steamed.
Ingredients
• Rice Rava 2 1/2 cups (500 gm)
• Water 4 cups (1000 ml)
• Clarified Butter (Ghee) 1 tbsp
• Grated Coconut 1 no (270 gm)
• Jaggery (Gud) Powder 2 cups (350 gm)
• Cardamom (Elaichi) Powder 1 tsp
Rice Rava Recipe:
Wash 1 kg rice two (2) times, keep the washed rice in a cloth until it’s fully dry, afterwards grind rice in mixie until consistency as shown in video, sieve the rice, use sieved fine power to make dosa and use remaining un-sieved grinded rice to make Bellam Kudumulu (Steamed Rice Rava Jaggery Laddu).
