The ISIL terrorist group has claimed responsibility for Wednesday's attack near the Houses of Parliament in central London. Five people were killed, including one police officer. The assailant, a British-born man, was also shot dead by police. Eight arrests have since been made in Birmingham and London. Flowers have been laid on Westminster Bridge, which reopened on Thursday afternoon.
