So, you have a tick on your pet and you need help! You have come to the right place! I have over 10 years’ experience dealing with these buggers and I have some great tips for you to help you out!
I have heard TONS of “tricks and tips” over my years as a veterinary technician, but only a few of them actually work without hurting your pet. The best ways to remove the tick are as follows and please don’t FREAK OUT, watching these few extra seconds of a video is not going to undo or do any more damage your pet is already encountered.
I have also seen someone rubbing the hind end of an embedded tick for about two minutes until it backs out. I have seen it work, but I feel like just pulling it out is much safer and quicker than all of that rubbing. And I am not sure if the rubbing pushes more of their saliva into the body as opposed to just pulling it out.
I love helping others to be armed with information, and skills to help take care of their pets. If you have any questions or comments, please leave them below!
Remember I am here for you, You’re here for your pet!
