3 years later…let’s see how this DIY painted countertop has held up! At the time (before inflation 🙃) I paid $4 for this can of appliance epoxy to transform my pink countertop into a modern look. My thought process at the time:
- The pink countertop can’t stay forever, so why not try a $4 fix! If it didn’t work, I’d only be out $4 since I’d have replaced it anyway.
- This was originally just a temporary solution as I remodeled the bathroom at the beginning of the pandemic and couldn’t get supplies.
Since then, it’s held up wonderfully and really surprised me! Now, with that said, we do not use this bathroom daily. So while I don’t have any chips or peeling, I’m not sure how well it would hold up to daily use. And the paint did discolor under my vase (I’m thinking that after cleaning one time I must have put the vase back without fully wiping away the cleaner to cause the discoloration.) So if you want to give this a try, I’d think of it as a TEMPORARY band aid fix until you can do your dream countertop down the road. It will likely tide you over for a few years if needed!

What do you think, would you try this?
