In this video I go into the technical details about how the Amiga's much vaunted HAM mode that when launched in 1985 allowed the Amiga to display all 4096 of its colours on screen, unprecedented for a personal computer at its price point. Through a detailed technical explanation of what happens at the pixel level to make this magic happen and some demonstrations of the mode in use and what it can be used for, this video explains some of the magic behind Hold and Modify on the Amiga.
