1. Lagos is the entertainment capital of Africa, it is home to afrobeats music and Nollywood. You may have heard the music of international stars like Davido, Burna boy, ckay, wizkid, ayra starr, Tiwa savage, fireboy, Dbanj, Psquare - these artistes get their inspiration from this bustling city and they all call it home. Nollywood- the 3rd biggest movie industry in the world is also domiciled here in the city if aquatic splendor. You may just be moving around and stumble on some of the biggest actors on the continent like RMD, Joke Silva, Sola Sobowale, Linda Ejiofor, Deyemi Okanlawon, Falz and they all call it home.

2. Lagos is the most populous black city in the world- I Promise you that you will never find anywhere a greater concentration of the black race on this planet. With a thriving population of 23-25 million people, Lagos also remains the smallest city in land area in Nigeria, hence, the dense population.

3. Lagos is an economic powerhouse- If Lagos were a country, it will 'arguably' be in the top 5 economies in Africa. It achieves this through its very productive human capital and 80% of the Nigeria's imports are done through its seaport. Lagos is also home to the Dangote refinery-the largest, single train refinery in the world. Over 50% of Nigeria's non-oil industrial capacity is located in Lagos. Lagos is also Nigeria's financial hub with all major banks having their headquarters in the City.

4. Lagos ialso known as Eko- Prior to the colonial era, Lagos was known by its people as eko, but has now gained new names such as Las Gidi or simply Gidi by its residents.

Due to its accommodating people and commercial nature, Lagos attracts the best of skills, talent and resources to the small island of Lagos.
