Installing and replacing end caps is easy. The only tools you need are pliers and, if needed, something that can cut cables. Firstly, you want to make sure that you can easily access the cable. You shouldn’t put a cap onto a frayed cable. If there's enough cable simply cut off the frayed section. If not, unfortunately you may need to replace the entire cable. However, sometimes you can twist the frayed cable together and it will fit in the cap.
