This is our trip to Gyeongju in South Korea. We visit the Bulguksa Temple, Seokguram Grotto and other places within the city.
How to get to Gyeongju?
First of all, where is Gyeongju and how to get there? Gyeongju is a small city and located in the southeast of South Korea close to the second biggest city of the country Busan. Gyeongju is really easy to reach either from Seoul or Busan because it is connected via the High-Speed train KTX. We took the KTX from Seoul and it was very convenient and very fast. We paid around 35€ per person and it just took us 2 hours. The train station is called Singyeongju and you have to take a bus to get to the city center of Gyeongju. Finding the right bus is not that difficult when using the Naver App. The T-Money Card is valid in the whole country so it was easy to pay from the bus.
Alternatively, you can also take a long-distance bus to get to Gyeongju. We did this quite often when traveling only short distances but it is an option and cheaper as well.
