STANDARDS
CCSS.6.NS.C.6.c Find and position integers and other rational numbers on a horizontal or vertical number line diagram; find and position pairs of integers and other rational numbers on a coordinate plane.
CCSS.6.NS.C.6.a Recognize opposite signs of numbers as indicating locations on opposite sides of 0 on the number line; recognize that the opposite of the opposite of a number is the number itself, e.g., -(-3) = 3, and that 0 is its own opposite.
CCSS.6.NS.C.6.b Understand signs of numbers in ordered pairs as indicating locations in quadrants of the coordinate plane; recognize that when two ordered pairs differ only by signs, the locations of the points are related by reflections across one or both axes.
TEKS.6.2.B identify a number, its opposite, and its absolute value;
TEKS.8.10.A generalize the properties of orientation and congruence of rotations, reflections, translations, and dilations of two-dimensional shapes on a coordinate plane;
TEKS.4.2.H determine the corresponding decimal to the tenths or hundredths place of a specified point on a number line.
TEKS.3.3.B determine the corresponding fraction greater than zero and less than or equal to one with denominators of 2, 3, 4, 6, and 8 given a specified point on a number line;
TEKS.6.2.C locate, compare, and order integers and rational numbers using a number line;
IN.6.NS.3 Compare and order rational numbers and plot them on a number line. Write, interpret, and explain statements of order for rational numbers in real-world contexts.
IN.6.AF.7 Understand that signs of numbers in ordered pairs indicate the quadrant containing the point; recognize that when two ordered pairs differ only by signs, the locations of the points are related by reflections across one or both axes. Graph points with rational number coordinates on a coordinate plane.
IN.6.NS.2 Understand the integer number system. Recognize opposite signs of numbers as indicating locations on opposite sides of 0 on the number line; recognize that the opposite of the opposite of a number is the number itself (e.g., –(–3) = 3), and that 0 is its own opposite.
VA.MG.6.8.b identify the coordinates of a point and graph ordered pairs in a coordinate plane.
VA.NS.4.3.c compare and order decimals; and
VA.NS.4.3.a read, write, represent, and identify decimals expressed through thousandths;
VA.NS.3.2.a name and write fractions and mixed numbers represented by a model;
VA.NS.6.2.b compare and order positive rational numbers.
VA.NS.6.3.a identify and represent integers;
VA.NS.6.3.b compare and order integers; and
VA.NS.4.2.a compare and order fractions and mixed numbers, with and without models;
