A Parkinson’s disease diagnosis and divine intervention put Allison Toepperwien on the path to love of her life, another young person with the disease. Now married, Allison and Steven underwent deep brain stimulation together at Baylor St. Luke's Medical Center under the care of Drs. Joseph Jankovic and Sameer Sheth of Baylor College of Medicine. The successful procedures are giving the couple their first taste of life together with less medication and reduced symptoms.
