After over a decade of intense planning, a partnership of County and Federal agencies has broken ground on the first of 3 massive construction phases to protect South Bay communities from storm surge and predicted sea level rise over the next 100 years. Representatives from Valley Water and US Army Corps of Engineers explain the clever design of the major new levee now under construction.
