"Hey Dan, How cold can you heat with the MrCool DIY?"

I guess another way to ask this is how cold can it get outside before the MrCool DIY stops heating.

That's a great question. A lot of people want to use a MrCool DIY mini split for cooling and heating. So, the answer to your question depends. There are two types of MrCool DIY's. There is the single zone and the multi zone.

The single zone can won't work below 5 degrees Fahrenheit. It does okay below 32 degrees. I would say that if you regularly get temperatures in the teens then you are going to want a backup heat source.

The MrCool Multi Zone, however, can heat down to -13 degrees Fahrenheit.

There are a lot of options for backup heat, which is great.
