So in this video, I not only cover the scent of this frankincense burning on a hot coal, but I also cover the taste of Boswellia Papyrifera gum-resin and briefly it’s therapeutic, medicinal, and psychoactive effects. Let's start with the scent or smell:
► Scent/smell profile: When you burn the gum-resin of Boswellia papyrifera, you will discover a wonderful floral aroma of fruity oranges fill the air. The fruity scent is soft, and is reminiscent of green apples & Jasmine.
► Taste: Boswellia papyrifera can taste good or bad, depending on the quality of the resin. If you chew on its frankincense gum, you will discover a mild-bitter taste that is reminiscent of oranges. Or I should say, like biting into an orange peel, but milder. It’s not bad for chewing, but then again it probably has the least agreeable for chewing out of all the species of frankincense.
► cognitive/psychoactive effects: My experience is that consuming boswellia papyrifera frankincense is sedating, and thereby may act as a stress reliever. But it makes me to relaxed/sedated for productive work. I also notice that boswellia papyrifera makes me feel/makes my skin feel significantly hotter. This is due to the fact that Boswellia papyrifera has the antidepressant & anxiolytic psychoactive chemicals incensole and incensole acetate, which also makes the skin feel hotter by activating the TRPV3 protein channels.
