'NO AMNESTY': Thousands of pro-democracy Brazilians took to the streets of São Paulo in counter-protest, one day after far-right pro-Bolsonaro supporters stormed several government buildings in defiance of the country’s 2022 election results.
Throughout the demonstrations, protesters demanded accountability for those who took part in the Jan 8 riots. 'These people need to be punished,' one demonstrator told the AP. 'They don’t represent Brazil. We represent Brazil.'
