Perennials: return year after year, blooming in the second season and for many years to come.
They grow more slowly, and in the first season focus most energy on establishing strong roots, so they typically don't bloom until their second year.
Herbaceous: Herbaceous plants are plants that have non-woody stems, including grasses, sedges, rushes, ferns, and forbs.
Forbs are broad-leaf plants often referred to as wildflowers or weeds. Annual herbaceous plants live for only one year, whereas perennials live for multiple years.

Scalloped: A type of leaf margin with edges having large rounded indentations.
Toothed: Margins more or less toothed. The term is generic and encompasses the terms serrate, dentate, and crenate, which describe different types of relatively fine, continuous toothing, as well as situations where the teeth are widely spaced, large and lobe-like, or occur at different scales (doubly toothed)
Marsh Marigold likes Full to Part Sun and Shade
The Pollen is beneficial to many insects, including Bees, Flower Flies, some Butterflies.
I usually go looking for Marsh Marigolds when I hear the Warblers have migrated back.
March Marigold is Non-invasive and is a Native Plant to North America
It dies back in the Fall Time
