About a half decade ago I caught a bad case of Poison Ivy. It grows across my front yard and up my towering Oak tree. That summer I had just lost my family dog of 17 and cat of 16 years. I was all alone and filled the void trying to escape the pain. I wasn't eating much and was skinny too. I did not have good medical coverage and when I told the doctor I needed a z-pak to take care of it she gave me other pills that didn't work as well. It took a long time for my legs and arms to heal and to this day I have some scarring still. I eventually regained my strength but things were different in my neighborhood. Strange vehicles and porch watchers became commonplace. Nobody asked me what happened and now nobody talks to me about anything. I say hello on walks and get a response back from most but not all. Someone had decided they didn't want me living near them anymore...even though I have rights in my Deed that state I have the right to enjoy what I own as long as I own it without light or sound nuisance. My neighbors thought they could make someone uncomfortable in order to make them move and that is illegal to do. It is called harassment and they took it to the extreme for 6 total years. They then called the police 61 times within 2.5 years once I had hardened to being afraid of them to try and claim a mental illness so that I would move. People used V2K to make me respond out loud in the neighborhood then had surrounding neighbors "watch for strange behavior." With the V2K they would tease to make me angry as well. This was their strategy to get rid of the addict working a program of recovery in the neighborhood. They still try to this day.
