If you are a student or a jobseeker planning to move to Germany and looking for an apartment, be cautious and watch out for scams. In recent years, there has been an increase in fraudulent apartment rental offers, especially targeting international students and jobseekers. Scammers usually advertise non-existent apartments at attractive prices and ask for a deposit or rent payment upfront. You can find them on wg-gesucht.de or AIRBNB Once the payment is made, they disappear, leaving the victim with no apartment and no way to get their money back. To avoid falling victim to these scams, always be suspicious of offers that seem too good to be true, never pay upfront without seeing the apartment, and try to deal with reputable landlords or agencies. In this video, I have discussed various types of SCAMS that happens to the students.
