1️⃣ They’re under tired OR over tired. Following wake windows is especially important here to ensure they’re on a developmentally age appropriate routine.
2️⃣ Their room is too bright, noisy, hot or cold. Setting their room up for success is imperative to a good sleeper. Little disturbances such as a crack of light shining through or being too warm can disrupt their sleep big time!
3️⃣ At Well Bebe, we really emphasize the importance of a FULL belly! Have they had enough to eat before their nap? Try topping them up a couple oz before they go down for their nap.
4️⃣ You’re not giving them the chance to fall back to sleep. Younger babies especially have a “startle reflex” and this can wake them from their sleep before they’re ready to wake up. Try giving them some time to fall back to sleep on their own!
