The idea for this video series is to simply play a short, slightly slowed down version of a classic fingerstyle/Travis picking song or arrangement, complete with a close up camera angle and accurate tablature, so you can just watch, pause, rewind and learn! - It's the kind of video I wish existed when I was first learning this style.

Rather than a boring 20 min video with me explaining all the intricate parts of the arrangement, I feel just being able to watch it being played while following along with the tablature is a more time effective and satisfying way to learn this style of guitar playing. This version of Saturday Night Shuffle by Merle Travis is basically a combination of different versions I've seen played by Tommy Emmanuel, along with a few other ideas to try and make the arrangement a little different from how it's generally played. Apologies for the string squeaks here and there, I should have put some guitar wax on my instrument before recording this one!
