I took part in the user evaluations, and final testing of the MK16 back in late 2007, to see if the rifle was significantly better than the M4A1. Here I go over the items on the SCAR Light that were found to be issues and deemed not better than the current M4A1 at the time, and why it was not selected by SF. Also, I do go over the few SCAR Lights (MK16s) that were in use with SF.
