The Hooker Valley track is located in the very heart of Aoraki/Mount Cook National Park. It's a track that's well known for its beautiful Aoraki views, picturesque swing bridges, glacier views, iceberg filled lake and, in spring, a great place to see the Mount Cook Buttercups in bloom.
It's suitable for hikers of most abilities with a very small amount of incline over 5kms of track. Take your time or approach it with speed, allow at least a couple of hours to undertake this mesmerising hike and don't forget your phone/camera. It's a great walk for sunrise, as the glacial lake reflects Aoraki until the sun pops over the mountain. There's a picnic bench by the lake for you to enjoy food and drink at leisure.
It's an Aoraki/Mount Cook walk not to be missed.
