I reach the top of the Hurlstone cliffs and observe beautiful views all around me---lovely fresh air--I am very pleased to have completed this section of the Rugged Route because I never noticed any signs the day before leading me down this way after the hike from Minehead. So I now feel I have now completed the whole rugged route BUT I am actually glad I climbed up it rather than trying to walk down it--extremely steep with sheer drops--I greatly admire the young people training here with ice-packs filling their very heavy rucksacks--they were jogging up and down this cliff face and Hurlstone Combe as well and I have captured them on video---I took the slightly more prickly route through the gorse bushes to get to the very top mainly because I lost sight of the athletes at one stage and had no idea of their route to the very top but I did notice on their return that they seemed to literally disappear over the top to rejoin the route down the cliff.-I decided wisely to finish this walk by descending again down Hurlstone Combe after resting at 'Sheila's Seat' at the top of the Combe .I do not video the 2nd walk down the combe because I had only done it the day before so I have added this at the end of the next video as a reminder. I feel exhilarated, alive and full of joy--walking and hiking are so rewarding in many ways
