The Spring Festival period in China, lasts about two weeks, and is peppered with many traditional celebratory events. The lantern festival may come on the last day, but it's no less important. The Yuyuan Garden in Shanghai, built during the Ming dynasty some four hundred years ago and still retains its authentic Shanghai flavour, hosts an annual lantern fair. And ahead of its official opening, a preview was held on Sunday, attracting hoards of visitors. Here's more.
