In this video we are fishing the 1st ice of this winter season. For those that are just getting started into the hobby, we discuss the bare minimums needed for ice fishing gear and fishing tips so that your trip is safe, enjoyable and a success. The gear is individually explained and guidelines are discussed for voyaging safely onto the ice. We cannot express enough to be aware of your surroundings/environment while on the ice.. that includes noticing visual cues and sounds. For those that don’t have much experience, it’s best to take observance of more experienced personel on the ice. If no one else is on the ice, it may be for a reason. Once your set up at your fishing spot, get comfortable for the fun and excitement which ice fishing brings. Enjoy the fresh air, natural surroundings and solitude. Ice fishing is for the whole family and everyone. Enjoy the moment, make lifetime memories and keep those lines tight! Wishing everyone a great 2023/2024 season.
