Cruise News, What's Happened This Week?
- Norwegian Cruise Line have started to send home the many crew members they bought to the US in the hopes of resuming cruising in early 2021. It is unknown when the crew members will return and when cruising will resume.
- Cruise line Ponant had planned to return to cruising in New Zealand in February but problems with crew visas have meant that the Ponant ship is currently being denied entry to New Zealand.
- Former CMV ship Magellan has arrived at a scrapyard in India where she will be dismantled. CMV's Magellan started her life as Holiday for Carnival cruise line.
- Princess Cruises have announced a 111-day world cruise for 2023. The cruise will visit 31 countries and prices start from $19,000.
- Princess Cruises are expected to take delivery of a new cruise ship called Discovery Princess in 2022. The ship will hold approximately 3600 passengers.
- Cunard are expecting a new ship in 2023. She is currently unnamed.
