Years ago, long before Lyndsey became a radiology technologist, she was driving by Children’s Hospital Colorado’s South Campus, Highlands Ranch, and said to herself, “I want to work there one day.”
Today, Lyndsey is the first dual-modality radiology tech at Children’s Colorado, specializing in both X-rays and CT scans. These tools are important for our pediatric care teams to make correct diagnoses, but they can also be scary for kids. Pediatric radiology technologists like Lyndsey not only complete the scans properly, but also help kids feel comfortable during the process.
“I think the most meaningful aspect for me is seeing the kids’ faces,” Lyndsey says. “They come in so nervous and so scared and to be able to successfully get a scan and see that relief on their faces — ‘OK, I did it!’ — I feel like I'm making a difference in their lives.”
Learn more about why Lyndsey chose a career at a top-ranked pediatric hospital like Children’s Colorado, and how our tuition reimbursement program encourages opportunities for growth for radiology technologists and all our clinical roles.
